Localization

Hey are there any BulletProof FolderSizes users out there that would like to cooperate with me to create a non-English translation of the user interface (and possibly the documentation)? I'd gladly offer up a free registration key or two if you'd like to lend me a hand. I've been doing some work to get BulletProof FolderSizes ready for the translation process. So if you're interested, please do let me know.

CPU Magazine

Hey, I don't know if you're a reader of CPU (Computer Power User) magazine, but if you are... you just might notice that BulletProof FolderSizes received a great review in the pages of the most recent issue. I just got my subscription copy a few days ago, so it should be hitting news stands shortly.

I have to admit to being fairly gratified by seeing a nice review of my software in the pages of a great magazine like CPU. It's like seeing your kid do a good job in the school play. ;-)

Also thanks to the FolderSizes users that have emailed me recently with their kind and gracious comments. I love hearing how you're using FolderSizes - so please don't ever hesitate to let me know!

Now for version 2.1!

Just getting version 2.0 downloaded and installed?

Well good, 'cause I've got version 2.1 ready now! ;-)

This new minor update focuses primarily on graphing capability. It provides you with a choice between the existing bar chart view (in the lower right of the screen) or a new 3D pie chart. You can switch between these graph views at will using the graph view toolbar. The File Types Graph (see photo below in previous blog entry) has also been added, along with a few other minor improvements. And, of course, a couple miscellaneous bug fixes sprinkled in for your bemusement.

The v2.1 "gold master" code is in the hands of my publishing company, which should be rolling it out any day now.

What, you want yours in advance? Ok, fine, have at it:

Existing version 2.0 registration details will work in v2.1. Enjoy! And, as always, drop me a line to let me know what you think.

Free upgrade registration keys

By now, everyone that purchased BulletProof FolderSizes version 1.5 should have received their free v2.0 upgrade key. If you don't have yours, check your inbox - you should have received it today.

If you didn't receive your free upgrade key for some reason, let me know and we'll remedy the matter.

Thanks!
